A Very Good Meeting

The group had a very good meeting last week and we had 3 new attendees. All said they were very pleased with finding us and so it look like we are on the right track. Very soon we have slot on "Biggles FM" our local radio station, where Gina and Karen will be promoting the group. More about that soon. Meanwhile our name is getting around and we have a very kind invitation from Macmillan Cancer Support as follows:- Macmillan Cancer Support has big plans to change cancer care for people in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. You may already be aware of the new Macmillan Cancer Centre that is being built at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage. We would like to invite you to an event to tell you more about the new centre, the support that Macmillan need with the build and development of the centre and how you can help to support people living with cancer in your community. We are holding an event on Thursday 13th June at 7pm at The Weatherley Centre, Eagle Farm Road, Biggleswade. As a valued supporter of Macmillan and a member of the local community we would be delighted if you could join us at this event. It is the ideal opportunity to find out what improvements Macmillan are making to cancer patients in your community and find out how you can get involved. I have attached a letter and a poster about the event that will give you more information. If you would like to attend please do RSVP to me by Friday 7th June.
